Hot Smoked Halibut Dip
Alaska’s halibut is a true gem of the sea, and one of the tastiest ways to enjoy it is in a hot smoked halibut dip. This dip makes for the perfect appetizer for any get together and is posh addition to make the holidays even more special. You can easily swap in other smoked white fish such as cod, rockfish or pollock, but the delicate texture and taste of halibut make it unbeatable.

If you’re lucky enough to land one, you’re in for a treat. There’s nothing like cooking up freshly caught halibut, especially when transformed into a smoky, savory dip that brings a piece of Alaska’s wilderness to your table.
Ingredients
10 oz. Smoked Halibut (substitute smoked rockfish, cod or pollock)
8 oz. cream cheese
1/4 cup mayonaisse
1/4 cup sour cream
1/2 tsp dried dill
1/2 tsp onion powder
2 tbsp lemon juice
3/4 cup parmesan, finely grated
1/2 tbsp chives, chopped fine
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Flake up smoked halibut by hand, tearing into small pieces. Set aside.
Using a hand mixer, cream mayonnaise, cream cheese, sour cream, dill, onion powder, lemon juice, 1/4 cup parmesan and 1/2 of flaked halibut, until completely combined.
Add the remaining flaked halibut and mix by hand until combined.
Pour dip mix into oven save dish.
Top with remaining parmesan.
Bake, uncovered for 25-30 minutes, until bubbling and top is golden brown.
Top with chives and serve hot with your favorite crackers, chips or bread.
